Record #202771:

Using airborne light detection and ranging as a sampling tool for estimating forest biomass resources in the upper Tanana Valley of interior Alaska / Hans-Erik Andersen, Jacob Strunk, Hailemariam Temesgen.

Title: Using airborne light detection and ranging as a sampling tool for estimating forest biomass resources in the upper Tanana Valley of interior Alaska / Hans-Erik Andersen, Jacob Strunk, Hailemariam Temesgen.
Author(s): Andersen, Hans-Erik.
Strunk, Jacob.
Temesgen, Hailemariam.
Date: 2011.
Publisher: [Society of American Foresters]
Abstract: Presents methodology for estimating forest biomass over 201,226-ha area in upper Tana Valley, Alaska, using combination of 79 field plots and high-density airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) collected in sampling mode along 17 single strips spaced approx. 2.5 km apart. Also presents model-based approach to estimating total above-ground biomass for area.
Notes:

Offprint: Western Journal of Applied Forestry. Vol. 26, no. 4.
