Abstract: Reports results of detailed petrographic and geochemical study of two major alteration zones, Western Valley Zone (WVZ) and Eastern Valley Zone (EVZ), in Iterlak greenstone region, south-west Greenland. Finds that gold mineralisation in Iterlak is associated with structurally controlled hydrothermal alteration of mafic and ultramafic protolith in WVZ and EVZ, respectively. Principal component analysis highlights regional signal of Au, SiO₂, K, Fe and base metal addition.
