Abstract: | Outlines project to investigate relationships between climate, hydrology and limnology in thermokarst lakes of Old Crow Flats, dynamic lake-rich landscape in northern Yukon. Over past few decades Vuntut Gwich'in have witnessed unprecedented changes in hydrology within Old Crow Flats, which they feel threatens their traditional livelihood. Gwich'in also fear that changing wetland hydrology will negatively affect lake water quality and associated wildlife habitat. |
