Abstract: | Explores particular experience of cultural bridging between Heritage Department of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in (TH) First Nation and government funders participating in 2007-08 International Polar Year (IPY). TH Heritage Department acted as lead researcher on IPY project Documenting Traditional Knowledge in Relation to Climate Change. Project allowed TH government to gain much needed information on how climate change is affecting traditional territory and lives of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in citizens. |
