Abstract: Reports results of broad-scale ground study to estimate population size and density of shorebirds breeding in Teshekpuk Lake Special Area in Alaska's National Petroleum Reserve. Estimates detection-adjusted breeding population of more than 573,000 shorebirds, based on series of plot surveys conducted between 2006 to 2008.
