Record #202609:

Incidental observations of birds in the vicinity of Hell Gate polynya, Nunavut: species, timing and density / Amie L. Black, and 3 others.

Title: Incidental observations of birds in the vicinity of Hell Gate polynya, Nunavut: species, timing and density / Amie L. Black, and 3 others.
Author(s): Black, Amie L.
Date: 2012.
In: Arctic. (2012.), Vol. 65(2) (2012)
Abstract: Presents five years of species observation data from three sites in Hell Gate-Cardigan Strait polynya (Cape Vera, St Helena Island and Devil Island) to create inventory of avian species observed in polynya. Compares results with previous observations made at these sites and at other sites throughout Arctic. Examines species diversity over time to suggest possible effects of polynya on timing of spring arrival of breeding and migrant species.
