Record #202250:
Reconstruction of palaeo-ice sheets - inversion of their glacial geomorphological record / Johan Kleman, and 5 others.
Title: | Reconstruction of palaeo-ice sheets - inversion of their glacial geomorphological record / Johan Kleman, and 5 others. |
Author(s): | Kleman, Johan. |
Date: | 2006. |
Publisher: | Oxford: Blackwell |
In: | Glacier science and environmental change. (2006.), |
Abstract: | Discusses nature of glacial inversion problem, which is concerned with deciphering ice sheet evolution through time, in contrast to genetic problem, deciphering changes in landforms. Emphasis is on frozen-bed preservation of older landscapes, and recent discovery of ice-stream networks in previously glaciated areas. Applies inversion model to northern Keewatin and northern Fennoscandia. |
Notes: | In: Glacier science and environmental change / Peter G. Knight, ed. |
