Record #202232:

Geochemical and petrophysical characteristics of plutonic rocks from the Archaean Karelia province in Finland / Tapio Ruotoistenmäki.

Title: Geochemical and petrophysical characteristics of plutonic rocks from the Archaean Karelia province in Finland / Tapio Ruotoistenmäki.
Author(s): Ruotoistenmäki, Tapio.
Date: 2012.
In: Geological Survey of Finland. Special Paper. (2012.), Vol. 54 (2012)
Abstract: Investigates geochemical and petrophysical characteristics of samples of plutonic rocks from Archaean terrains: Pudasjärvi, Iisalmi, Kuhmo and Ilomantsi. Samples are mainly dioritic to granodioritic in composition, although some mafic intrusions have also been sampled. Characteristic feature of samples is that they are relatively enriched with light rare earth elements (LREE) and compatible elements relative to heavy rare earth elements (HREE) by comparison with averages calculated from nearly 3,000 plutonic rock samples representing Proterozoic and Archaean bedrock in Finland.
