| Abstract: | Investigates individual rates of telomere length changes over two years in 34 barnacle geese (Branta leucopsis) between 0 and 22 years of age (covering approx. 80% of species' lifespan). Demonstrates that telomeres are very well maintained, with average loss of only five base pairs per year among adult birds. |
