Record #202125:

A study of the energy balance and melt regime on Juncal Norte glacier, semi-arid Andes of central Chile, using melt models of different complexity / Francesca Pellicciotti, and 6 others.

Title: A study of the energy balance and melt regime on Juncal Norte glacier, semi-arid Andes of central Chile, using melt models of different complexity / Francesca Pellicciotti, and 6 others.
Author(s): Pellicciotti, Francesca.
Date: 2008.
Publisher: Hoboken, NJ: Wiley
Abstract: Describes use of data from two automatic weather stations on Juncal Norte glacier, central Chile, to test ablation models of varying complexity. Central Andes are semi-arid, with dry and stable summers, near-zero precipitation, low relative humidity and intense solar radiation. Results are contrasted to ablation processes in glaciers of European Alps.
Notes:

Offprint: Hydrological Processes. Vol. 22, no 19.
