Record #202104:

Multi-decadal ozone and UV climate in the European Arctic / Georg Hansen, and 3 others.

Title: Multi-decadal ozone and UV climate in the European Arctic / Georg Hansen, and 3 others.
Author(s): Hansen, Georg.
Date: 2007.
Publisher: Brussels: European Commission
In: Polar environment and climate : the challenges. Conference proceedings : international symposium, Brussels 5-6 March 2007 : European research in the context of the International Polar Year. (2007.),
Abstract: Analyses variability in atmospheric ozone layer in continuous records from Tromsø (1935-1972 and 1985-1999) and Svalbard (1950-1968 and 1984-present). Both sites show severe Arctic ozone depletion in some years, particularly in mid-1990s and 2000. Future work will focus on improvements in radiation modelling tools and studying "hot spot" events (years with especially high radiation levels).
