Morphology of glacigenic debris flows on the upper North Sea fan / A. Nygård, H.P. Sejrup, H. Haflidason.

Title: Morphology of glacigenic debris flows on the upper North Sea fan / A. Nygård, H.P. Sejrup, H. Haflidason.
Author(s): Nygård, A.
Sejrup, H. P.
Haflidason, H.
Date: 2003.
Publisher: Berlin: Springer
In: European margin sediment dynamics : side-scan sonar and seismic images. (2003.),
Abstract: Presents datasets from last and uppermost sequence of glacigenic debris flows (GDFs) on upper North Sea fan, deposited during late Weichselian maximum. Data were acquired in presumed GDF release zone from high resolution acoustic surveys conducted from shelf break (450 m.) down to 800 m. water depth, using deep-tow boomer seismic system with resolution better than 0.5 m. and effective penetration of 80-120 m. Part of same area was also covered with deep-tow TOBI sidescan sonar. Interprets images acquired.
