Record #201824:
Coexistence of mesopredators in an intact polar ecosystem: the basis for defining a Ross Sea marine protected area / Grant Ballard, and 3 others.
Title: | Coexistence of mesopredators in an intact polar ecosystem: the basis for defining a Ross Sea marine protected area / Grant Ballard, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Ballard, Grant. |
Date: | 2012. |
Publisher: | [Amsterdam]: Elsevier |
Abstract: | Reports results of analyses of niche occupation of all abundant mesopredators in Ross Sea, Antarctica, considering diet, vertical distribution (diving depth) and horizontal distribution, with view to designing Marine Protected Area. Analyses are based on literature review and maximum entropy modelling using field observations and satellite telemetry for inputs. |
