Record #201818:

Grizzly bears / Ravmona Maraj.

Title: Grizzly bears / Ravmona Maraj.
Author(s): Maraj, Ravmona.
Date: 2012.
Publisher: Calgary, Alta.: University of Calgary
In: Herschel Island Qikiqtaryuk : a natural and cultural history of Yukon's Arctic island. (2012.),
Abstract: Describes habitat and behaviour of grizzly bears (Ursus arctos) on Herschel Island. Notes that island represents most northerly part of grizzly bear range in Yukon. Bears visiting island are part of larger bear population that uses Alaska and Yukon North Slope. Continuous daylight during summer and other aspects of Arctic ecology make characteristics and habits of grizzly bears in area slightly different from those elsewhere in North America.
