Record #201650:

Drainage network structure and hydrologic behavior of the lake-rich watersheds on the Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska / C.D. Arp, and 5 others.

Title: Drainage network structure and hydrologic behavior of the lake-rich watersheds on the Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska / C.D. Arp, and 5 others.
Author(s): Arp, C. D.
Date: 2012.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2012.), Vol. 44(4) (2012)
Abstract: Analyses three river systems of Fish Creek drainage basin on central Arctic Coastal Plain of northern Alaska. Demonstrates that connected lakes account for 19-26% of drainage density among watersheds, and that most channels initiate from lake basins in form of beaded streams. Of >2,500 lakes in watersheds, 33% have perennial streamflow connectivity, and these represent 66% of total lake area extent.
