Abstract: Analyzes spatial pattern of accumulation over Greenland ice sheet, using kriged data from 390 ice cores and snow pits, and 49 coastal weather stations (23 newly compiled). Estimates average accumulation rate over Greenland Ice Sheet to be 31.2 ± 1.8 g cm⁻² yr⁻¹. Discusses differences between these results and recently published accumulation maps in coastal areas.
