Abstract: Summarises presentation by breast cancer research team at 2008 International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences (ICASS) conference in Nuuk, Greenland. Researches have identified marked increase in incidence of breast cancer in Inuit women since 1980, possibly attributable to increase in persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in Arctic.
