Record #201180:

Marine ice sheet stability / Christian Schoof.

Title: Marine ice sheet stability / Christian Schoof.
Author(s): Schoof, Christian.
Date: 2012.
Publisher: Cambridge: Cambridge University Press
Abstract: Examines stability of two-dimensional marine ice sheets in steady state, using viscous thin-film model with two Stefan-type boundary conditions at grounding line to describe dynamics of marine ice sheets. Uses linear stability analysis to confirm long-standing heuristic argument that stability of grounding line is determined by simple mass balance consideration.
Notes:

Offprint: Journal of Fluid Mechanics, vol. 698.
