Record #201180:
Marine ice sheet stability / Christian Schoof.
Title: | Marine ice sheet stability / Christian Schoof. |
Author(s): | Schoof, Christian. |
Date: | 2012. |
Publisher: | Cambridge: Cambridge University Press |
Abstract: | Examines stability of two-dimensional marine ice sheets in steady state, using viscous thin-film model with two Stefan-type boundary conditions at grounding line to describe dynamics of marine ice sheets. Uses linear stability analysis to confirm long-standing heuristic argument that stability of grounding line is determined by simple mass balance consideration. |
