Abstract: Compares two pre-surge digital elevation models (DEMs) (1969 and 1990) and post-surge (2005) DEM, together with bed DEM of Fridtjovbreen glacier, Svalbard, to quantify volume changes and iceberg calving during surge, calculate changes in glacier hypsometry, and investigate surge trigger.
