Record #200889:

Structure and behavior of the Arctic cyclone in summer analyzed by the JRA-25/JCDAS data / H.L. Tanaka, Akio Yamagami, Shinji Takahashi.

Title: Structure and behavior of the Arctic cyclone in summer analyzed by the JRA-25/JCDAS data / H.L. Tanaka, Akio Yamagami, Shinji Takahashi.
Author(s): Tanaka, H. L.
Yamagami, Akio.
Takahashi, Shinji.
Date: 2012.
In: Polar Science. (2012.), Vol. 6(1) (2012)
Abstract: Investigates three-dimensional structures and life-time behaviour of Arctic cyclones, using reanalysis data from JRA-25 and JCDAS datasets. Presents case studies showing structure of Arctic cyclone. Arctic cyclone has cold core at troposphere and warm core at atmospheric pressure of 200 hPa, and is connected with polar vortex at 500 hPa level and above.
Notes:

Polar Science. Vol. 6(1) :55-69 (2012).

Special issue: The second International Symposium on the Arctic Research (ISAR-2)

Keywords: 551.5 -- Meteorology.
551.52 -- Atmospheric radiation and temperature.
551.515 -- Atmospheric formations and disturbances.
551.515.1 -- Polar lows and extratropical cyclones.
