Abstract: Demonstrates that mean surface air temperature (SAT) in Northern Hemisphere is unconnected with Arctic Oscillation's (AO) contribution to Arctic warming on local scale. Notes that AO contributes to Arctic climate change through complicated interactions with climate sub-systems such as ocean, sea ice and ecosystem.
