Record #200888:
Global warming trend without the contributions from decadal variability of the Arctic Oscillation / Yuta Nagato, H.L. Tanaka.
Title: | Global warming trend without the contributions from decadal variability of the Arctic Oscillation / Yuta Nagato, H.L. Tanaka. |
Author(s): | Nagato, Yuta. Tanaka, H. L. |
Date: | 2012. |
In: | Polar Science. (2012.), Vol. 6(1) (2012) |
Abstract: | Demonstrates that mean surface air temperature (SAT) in Northern Hemisphere is unconnected with Arctic Oscillation's (AO) contribution to Arctic warming on local scale. Notes that AO contributes to Arctic climate change through complicated interactions with climate sub-systems such as ocean, sea ice and ecosystem. |
Notes: | Polar Science. Vol. 6(1) :15-22 (2012). Special issue: The second International Symposium on the Arctic Research (ISAR-2) |
