| Abstract: | Examines mud flow phenomena in French Alps using multivariate statistical approach, first computing regional meteorological parameters such as mean monthly temperature and precipitation from a principal component analysis of observed data from four weather stations; then fitting a binomial monthly logistic regression probability model between main principal components and mudflow phenomena database compsoed of 298 debris flow events between 1971 and 2008. |
