Abstract: Collection of 10 articles on cultures, societies and current situation of indigenous peoples of Amazonia, Central Asia and Siberia from comparative perspective. Offers insights into constitutions of humanity and personhood characteristic of these two areas. Ethnographic research was conducted among peoples undergoing transformative processes of their environments such as depletion of natural resources and migration to urban centres. Presents results of studies of personhood and agency in shamanic societies.
