Record #200774:
Spatial distribution and habitat use of marbled murrelets Brachyramphus marmoratus at sea in Port Snettisham, Alaska / Trevor B. Haynes, and 3 others.
Title: | Spatial distribution and habitat use of marbled murrelets Brachyramphus marmoratus at sea in Port Snettisham, Alaska / Trevor B. Haynes, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Haynes, Trevor B. |
Date: | 2011. |
In: | Marine Ornithology. (2011.), Vol. 39(2) (2011) |
Abstract: | Reports modelling of marbled murrelet (Brachyramphus marmoratus) distribution at fine (100, 200, 400, 800 and 1,600 m) and meso (14.4 km) scales using classification and regression tree analysis. Results supported predictions about spatial nature of murrelet habitat use, namely that murrelet distribution relative to prey would depend on prey abundance, murrelet breeding stage and murrelet aggregation patterns. |
