Record #200756:

Tunnel channel character and evolution in central southern Ontario / Tracy A. Brennand, Hazen A.J. Russel, David R. Sharpe.

Title: Tunnel channel character and evolution in central southern Ontario / Tracy A. Brennand, Hazen A.J. Russel, David R. Sharpe.
Author(s): Brennand, Tracy A.
Russel, Hazen A. J.
Sharpe, David R.
Date: 2006.
Publisher: Oxford: Blackwell
In: Glacier science and environmental change. (2006.),
Abstract: Examines valleys of central southern Ontario, mapping and characterising them by remote sensing, digital elevation models (DEMs), amd field surveys. Findings are consistent with view that subglacial landsystem (drumlins, valleys, and s-forms) was eroded by regional melt-water underburst (Algonquin event) that evolved from sheet to channelised flow, forming tunnel channels.
