Impacts of ski resorts on water quality of boreal lakes: a case study in northern Finland / Katja Kangas, and 3 others.

Title: Impacts of ski resorts on water quality of boreal lakes: a case study in northern Finland / Katja Kangas, and 3 others.
Author(s): Kangas, Katja.
Date: 2012.
In: Boreal Environment Research. (2012.), Vol. 17(3-4) (2012)
Abstract: Investigates impact of ski resorts on water quality of lakes near two popular Finnish ski resorts. Examines how water quality problems induced by ski resorts relate to effects of agriculture and forestry on similar lake types. Finds that human impact significantly increased nutrient concentrations, although differences observed between impact and control lakes were generally small.
