Record #200518:
Temporal change in the morphometry-body mass relationship of polar bears / Gregory W. Thiemann, and 3 others.
Title: | Temporal change in the morphometry-body mass relationship of polar bears / Gregory W. Thiemann, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Thiemann, Gregory W. |
Date: | 2011. |
Publisher: | [Bethseda, MD]: [Wildlife Society] |
Abstract: | Report on development of predictive equations to estimate body mass of free-ranging polar bears (Ursus maritimus) in western Hudson Bay between 1980-1996 and 2007-2009. Results suggest that temporal changes within subpopulation may be more pronounced than regional differences, with implications for current and future studies of polar bear body condition and effects of climate change. |
Notes: | Offprint: Journal of Wildlife Management. Vol. 75, no. 3. |
