Abstract: Analyzes δ¹⁸O and δ¹³C of foraminifera Neogloboquadrina pachyderma from western Arctic Ocean sediments as proxies for environmental changes. Distribution of δ¹⁸O in Chukchi Sea reflects different water masses entering from Pacific Ocean. Depleted δ¹⁸O signal in central and eastern Chukchi Sea may be from fresh water of Alaska Coastal Current and Bering Sea Shelf Water. Foraminiferal δ¹³C in Chukchi Sea is also strongly related to different water masses in this region.
