Record #200209:

Spatial patterns of soil development, methane oxidation, and methanotrophic diversity along a receding glacier forefield, southeast Greenland / Teresa G. Bárcena, Kai W. Finster, Jacob C. Yde.

Title: Spatial patterns of soil development, methane oxidation, and methanotrophic diversity along a receding glacier forefield, southeast Greenland / Teresa G. Bárcena, Kai W. Finster, Jacob C. Yde.
Author(s): Bárcena, Teresa G.
Finster, Kai W.
Yde, Jacob C.
Date: 2011.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2011.), Vol. 43(2) (2011)
Abstract: First investigation into activity and diversity of methanotrophic bacteria from Mittivakkat Gletscher forefield. Data indicated that methanotrophic populations were present in all samples although relatively limited in diversity, which may indicate differential adaptations to specific abiotic environmental conditions of region.
