| Abstract: | Develops technical approach to remote sensing methods and satellite imagery and applies it to test area around Monchegorsk, Kola peninsula (Kol'skiy Poluostrov). Describes first successful results in analysing dynamics of boreal vegetation. Performs comprehensive automated analysis of all changes in vegetation over 19-year period, mapping all types of human impact in time. Uses publicly available archives of satellite imagery and own field data to achieve high throughput. |
