Abstract: Presents site assessment and product development report examining potential of developing small-scale wildlife tourism opportunities featuring polar bear viewing in Eeyou Istchee ("The People's Land"), traditional territory of James Bay Cree in northern Quebec. Report suggest that access to polar bears may provide opportunity for Cree community of Wemindji to combine wildlife and aboriginal tourism, and to develop tourism "product" that showcases their knowledge and management approach to wildlife.
