Abstract: Explores tourism and hospitality industry's perceptions of impacts of weather on their business. Also examines how future weather trends, expected as result of climate change, will affect their work and prosperity. Finds that weather is viewed as one factor among many affecting business operations and is not seen as being important. Pragmatic attitude matches tendency of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in general not to plan strategically for either short-term or long-term.
