Drawings offer glimpse of North Pacific, in some cases at very moment of European discovery. Kamchatka section includes six portraits of native and non-native inhabitants, together with interpretation of subject. Gives details of John Webber (1751-93) and Cook's third voyage. Describes history of Farquhar collection. |
