Abstract: | Analyses seasonal and interannual variability of general and low cloud cover at 22 weather stations of Barents Sea from beginning of recorded observations in 1928 to 2007. Finds that spatial and temporal distribution of cloud cover in region is not heterogeneous, and that long-term fluctuations are not great due to large reoccurrence of values 8-10/10 on cloud cover scale. In region as whole there is predominant trend towards decrease in quantity of clouds from 1928 to 2007, particularly in eastern region at weather stations Rudol'f and Malyye Karmakuly. |
