Record #199987:

Data analysis of shipborne EM31-ICE measuring in the fourth Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition / Jie Wang, and 4 others.

Title: Data analysis of shipborne EM31-ICE measuring in the fourth Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition / Jie Wang, and 4 others.
Author(s): Wang, Jie.
Date: 2012.
Language: Chinese.
In: Chinese Journal of Polar Research. (2012.), Vol. 24(1) (2012)
Abstract: Reports use of shipborne data acquired by electromagnetic induction device, laser range finder and sonar, to measure sea ice thickness. Preliminary data is pre-processed, then combined with calibration information from ice core samples in long-term ice station to obtain correction parameters of EM31-ICE. Finds that thickness of ice in high-latitude regions is significantly greater than in low-latitude regions. Also, in high latitude regions, two peaks appear in histograms of sea ice thickness, whereas only one peak appears in low-latitude regions.
