Abstract: Reports isolation of actinobacteria strain, R-527F, from marine sediment sample taken north of 73°N in Arctic Ocean. According to morphological and physiological characteristics and 16S rDNA sequence, strain was temporarily named Streptomyces sp. R-527F. Results of amplification of biosynthetic genes and bacteria-inhibition assay show that strain has remarkable antibacterial properties.
