| Abstract: | Areal extent of glaciers of Meynypilgynsky Range, north-east of Koryak Upland, was estimated for early 2000s using satellite images from Landsat and World View-2. These were analysed in comparison with Glacier Inventory of region compiled by R. V. Sedov in 1985, both as whole and for groups of glaciers. 30% of area has been lost since 1985, largely from valley-corrie and hanging glaciers of eastern aspect. Circulation model AOGCM-ECHAM 5 (B1) is used to forecast glacier state in 2049-2060, and predicts up to 90% loss. |
