Record #199878:

Drainage assessment and flow monitoring at McMurdo station during austral summer / Rosa Affleck, and 3 others.

Title: Drainage assessment and flow monitoring at McMurdo station during austral summer / Rosa Affleck, and 3 others.
Author(s): Affleck, Rosa.
Date: 2012.
In: ERDC/CRREL Technical Report. (2012.), Vol. 12(3) (2012)
Abstract: Describes problems caused by flow paths under and around buildings, and across roads and parking lots at McMurdo station, Antarctica, created by runoff from snowmelt during austral summer. Validates and improves preliminary drainage analysis in 2008-09 with field measurements and observations taken during 2009-10; characterizes watershed and critical parameters that influence runoff; quantifies runoff at station; examines subsurface soil conditions; and recommends mitigation methods.
