Record #199805:

The combined effect of tidally and eddy-driven diapycnal mixing on the large-scale ocean circulation / Oleg A. Saenko, and 3 others.

Title: The combined effect of tidally and eddy-driven diapycnal mixing on the large-scale ocean circulation / Oleg A. Saenko, and 3 others.
Author(s): Saenko, Oleg A.
Date: 2012.
In: Journal of Physical Oceanography. (2012.), Vol. 42(4) (2012)
Abstract: Uses ocean general circulation model (GCM) to evaluate potential impact of eddy energy sink on diapycnal mixing and large-scale ocean circulation, separately and in combination with tidal energy dissipation. Includes brief review of literature on role of vertical diffusivity in maintaining zonal circulation in Southern Ocean, with particular reference to Drake Passage transport.
