Record #199769:

Glacial effects on discharge and sediment load in the subarctic Tanana River basin, Alaska / Tomoyuki Wada, and 3 others.

Title: Glacial effects on discharge and sediment load in the subarctic Tanana River basin, Alaska / Tomoyuki Wada, and 3 others.
Author(s): Wada, Tomoyuki.
Date: 2011.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2011.), Vol. 43(4) (2011)
Abstract: Describes temporal variations of water discharge and suspended sediment load over hydrological year in Tanana River drainage area. This was investigated by field observations in glacierized regions as represented by pro-glacial Phelan Creek and non-glacierized regions as represented by Chena River. Contribution of water discharge and sediment load from glacierized regions to Tanana River was quantified using water tank model and empirical discharge-sediment loading rating curves, L-Q equations.
