The influence of an extensive dust event on snow chemistry in the southern Rocky Mountains / C. Rhoades, K. Elder, E. Greene.
Title: | The influence of an extensive dust event on snow chemistry in the southern Rocky Mountains / C. Rhoades, K. Elder, E. Greene. |
Author(s): | Rhoades, C. Elder, K. Greene, E. |
Date: | 2010. |
In: | Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2010.), Vol. 42(1) (2010) |
Abstract: | Compares chemical composition of snowfall and snowpack collected before and after dust deposition in Colorado Rockies following windstorms in Arizona, Utah, and Western Colorado in February 2006. PH, solute concentrations, acid-neutralising capacity, and conductivity were examined, and also compared to snowpack samples analysed during previous 17 years at Fraser Experimental Forest. |
Notes: | Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. Vol. 42(1) :98-105 (2010). |
