Record #199691:

Susceptibility to intestinal parasite and juvenile survival are correlated with multilocus microsatellite heterozygosity in the capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) / Marja Isomursu, and 3 others.

Title: Susceptibility to intestinal parasite and juvenile survival are correlated with multilocus microsatellite heterozygosity in the capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) / Marja Isomursu, and 3 others.
Author(s): Isomursu, Marja.
Date: 2012.
In: Ornis Fennica. (2012.), Vol. 89(2) (2012)
Abstract: Investigates relationships between intestinal helminth infections, age, sex and heterozygosity in capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus). Assesses microsatellite heterozygosity at eight autosomal loci and calculates two different indices to quantify individual heterozygosity. Finds that probability of nematode infection decreases as level of heterozygosity increases.
