Record #199636:

Climate change brings uncertain future for subarctic marine ecosystems and fisheries / Franz J. Mueter.

Title: Climate change brings uncertain future for subarctic marine ecosystems and fisheries / Franz J. Mueter.
Author(s): Mueter, Franz J.
Date: 2011.
Publisher: Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska
In: North by 2020 : perspectives on Alaska's changing social-ecological systems. (2011.),
Abstract: Reviews documented responses of marine ecosystems in general, and commercially-important fish populations in particular, to observed variability in climate over last several decades. Understanding of past variations in climate and fish populations, coupled with basic understanding of functioning of marine ecosystems, assists forecasting of response of systems to future climate warming, which is predicted to continue and accelerate over coming decades.
