Record #199605:

Dinoflagellate cysts as proxies for palaeoceanographic conditions in Arctic fjords / John A. Howe, and 7 others.

Title: Dinoflagellate cysts as proxies for palaeoceanographic conditions in Arctic fjords / John A. Howe, and 7 others.
Author(s): Howe, John A.
Date: 2010.
Publisher: London: Geological Society
In: Fjord systems and archives. (2010.),
Abstract: Investigates potential for using dinoflagellate cysts as proxies for palaeoceanographic conditions and as monitors of dynamic marine environment of climatically sensitive Arctic fjords. Analyses dinoflagellate cysts from three sepatate deployments of sediment traps in two High Arctic fjords in Svalbard archipelago. Finds that recorded and identified cyst species are consistent both with hydrography of fjords and with changes in cyst composition that are comparable with seasonal shifts in water mass characteristics.
Notes:

In: Fjord systems and archives / J.A. Howe, and 3 others.
