Abstract: Examines one ritual shamanist ceremony among Buryaty. Based mainly on material collected among Cisbaikal Buryaty. Describes in detail Tailagan or ancient communal animal sacrificial rite, to honour clan spirits of nature. Concludes that it had important relationship to Buryat communal clan system.
