| Abstract: | Presents survey of diffusion [distribution] of snow-resistant structure[s] in Niigata Prefecture (region of heavy winter snowfall). Reports values of 38% for whole prefecture, and 19.9%, 49.2% and 17.5% when divided into Joetsu, Chuetsu and Kaetsu regions. At district level in Chuetsu area, diffusion is around 80% in Yuzawa-machi, Minamiuonuma City, and Uonuma City passing Joetsu Shinkansen and Kan-Etsu Expressway. By contrast, diffusion is only 10-20% in hilly/mountainous areas of Joetsu City and Murakami City in heavy snowfall area. |
