| Abstract: | Presents simulated development of horizontal extent of glaciers on west slope on Chikhachev Range at time of Last Glacial Maximum (18-20 ka BP). Simulated glaciation has mountain-valley character, with snowline depression of 400 m relative to present, and total area 900 km². Validates results with geomorphological field data, demonstrating correspondence between glacier tongues and end-moraine complexes during latest cooling in Yustyd and Bar-Bugaza river basins. Associates lack of marked end moraine in Buguzun river basin with influence of ice-dammed lake. |
