Причины метахронности в динамике баланса массы льда в ледниковых районах северного полушария

Title: Причины метахронности в динамике баланса массы льда в ледниковых районах северного полушария
Title, transliterated: Prichiny metakhronnosti v dinamike balansa massy lʹda v lednikovykh raĭonakh severnogo polusharii︠a︡ / V.M. Fedorov.
Translated title: Reasons for the metachronous character of the dynamics of ice mass balance in the glaciated regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
Author(s): Fedorov, V. M.
Date: 2011.
Language: Russian.
In: Kriosfera Zemli. (2011.), Vol. 15(2) (2011)
Abstract: Analyzes reconstructed mass balance dynamics and instrumental mass balance measurements at 125 glaciers of Northern Hemisphere to reveal metachronous 20th-century balance dynamics of nine glaciated regions (Scandinavia, Spitsbergen, Canadian Arctic Archipelago, Alaska, North American Cordillera, Alps, Caucasus, Tien Shan, and Pamir-Alay). Analyzes correlation between mass balance dynamics in glaciated regions and macro-circulation characteristics of climate (based on Dzerdeyevskiy's elementary circulation mechanisms), demonstrating that duration of action of atmospheric circulation groups was responsible for metachronous dynamics and determined its spatial and temporal structure.
