Механизм формирования инжекционных жил льда и гидролакколитов
Title: | Механизм формирования инжекционных жил льда и гидролакколитов |
Title, transliterated: | Mekhanizm formirovanii︠a︡ inzhekt︠s︡ionnykh zhil lʹda i gidrolakkolitov / S.M. Fotiev. |
Translated title: | Mechanism of formation of injective ice veins and hydrolaccoliths. |
Author(s): | Fotiev, S. M. Fotiėv, S. M. |
Date: | 2011. |
Language: | Russian. |
In: | Kriosfera Zemli. (2011.), Vol. 15(2) (2011) |
Abstract: | Examines formation of injective ice veins and hydrolaccoliths, penetrating and deforming subterranean ice sheet. Draws particularly on stratigraphic and hydrochemical observations in Lake Neyto area, Yamal Peninsula. Determines main source of water forming ultrafresh ice in sheets, veins and cores of hydrolaccoliths. Demonstrates impact upon ice sheet and lower layers of frozen loam unit of injective water flow (intruding into ice sheet through "yawning" fissure). Discusses results of intrusion of hydrolaccolith into ice sheet and frozen loam unit. |
