Abstract: Presents laboratory study of work of cooling device with U-type horizontal evaporator made from copper tubes (of 20 mm and 14 mm diameter and 7.5 m length, and 4 mm diameter and 5 m and 10 m length). Describes experimental installation, observable modes of coolant stream and obtained degree of cooling of evaporator. Steady circulation of coolant and effective cooling are reached when stratified mode of phase current exists in whole area of biphasic stream in evaporator. Formulates initial assumptions and presents calculation method for estimating temperature distribution along evaporator pipe. Compares results with experimental data.
